Residents of Gomoa Okwahu, a predominantly farming community near Dawurampong in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region have called on authorities to consider coming to their aid to see how best they can help construct their deplorable state of the road for them since dust is the other of the day in the community.
According to residents, the deplorable state of their road from Gomoa Dawurampong and some surrounding communities is posing threat to their lives, as their farm produce rots in the farm and dust killing them too, especially in this dry season.
Drivers, passengers and residents who spoke to Bryt Fm’ Eric Owusu Amponsah after Nananom and all have gathered to initiate an Educational Fund to support Brilliant But Needy Students in the community, bemoaned how they are forced to wear double or triple dresses when travelling from the community to another.
They are, however, appealing to their MP, DCE and government to come to their aid for dust is killing them posing threat to their health.
Meanwhile, Odikro of the Gomoa Okwahu Community, Nana Kofi Sakyi Ababio (V) has also appealed to the government for an immediate intervention since the deplorable state of their roads seemed to cost high standard of living, in the aspect of transportation over how their farm produce is supposed to be transported to the Gomoa Dawurampong market.
