Ghana is ranked the 9th African country indebted to China, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, according to a report intercepted by mybrytnewsroom.
The World Bank Annual Report for 2021 indicates Ghana owes $3.5 billion to these three entities as of December 2021.
Meanwhile, Angola is ranked 1st with $25 billion debt with DR Congo being the 10th African country with $3.4 billion debt.
Globally, the United States of America lead with %18,286 trillion followed by the United Kingdom with $7,499 trillion and France occupying the third position with $5,084 trillion debt respectively.
The report comes at a time when Ghanaians and economics have predicted a possibility of the government going in for an IMF or World Bank bailout to help boost the local economy.
However, the government is optimistic the passage of the electronic levy (e-levy) will help the economy bounce back but has met a lot of restrictions from the minority caucus, economists and most Ghanaians in general.
