Some youth in Bibiani who get their daily bread from a galamsey site called “Ekom Ye Ya” has threatened to demonstrate against their executives and some authorities within Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality for selling their mining site to a Chinese company.
Speaking with some of the aggrieved youth, they voice out that their executives have betrayed them because they did not show any iota of respect to them before they have an argument to hand over the site to the Chinese company why they do not call them to meet to listen to their heartfelt concerned before.
“One of the youth said their executives have informed them that the Chinese company will compensate them and until they have seen the money they should not be surprised seeing them embark on a demonstration against both their executives and the Chinese company over unfair treatment to them.
Bibiani Old town electoral area Assembly Member, Hon. Jumor Mubarak also added that he support the youth and called on authorities to step in the matter to avoid any confusion.
