Addressing the Media, The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Northern Region, ADOII Baba Hudu has explained and clarified exactly what the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) did in saving a life, a car, four (4) rooms and their contents from the ruinous fire that occurred at Kobilmahagu in Tamale vis a vis the allegations of late arrival and arriving at the fire scene without water.
ADOII Hudu Baba further stated that one Firefighter got injured in trying to save the life trapped in that building.
He reiterated the fact that the Firemen needs constant encouragement and not the usual vilifications from the public to deliver on its lawful mandate.
He however called on the Residents to call GNFS on time using its emergency numbers (112 / 192) any time there is a fire outbreak and urged them to adhere to basic fire safety precautionary measures so as to remain safe during this fire season and beyond.
