The government has been chastised for attributing the country’s current economic status to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and rather blames it on poor economic management.
Eric Obuaba, a member of the Abuakwa North National Democratic Congress, NDC Communication team has advised the Akufo-Addo led government to put in place the necessary measures to redeem the country’s economic woes as its implications on the ordinary Ghanaian is awful.
The Communicator, popular known as Mr. Green indicated the NPP government has failed woefully in managing the economy hence, the proposal to introduce the electronic levy (e-levy) despite several rejections from a cross-section of Ghanaians.
Speaking to Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma on Bryt FM on Saturday evening news, Mr. Eric Obuaba educated the government to seal all loopholes to ensure corruption is reduced to save the country the millions of cedis we lose yearly according to the Auditor General’s reports.
He stressed the NDC leadership in Parliament will continue to oppose the passage of the e-levy so long as the interest of ordinary Ghanaians is concerned and debunked allegations of sabotaging the government’s business in the House.
Asked on whether the Eastern region has benefited fairly from the national cake in terms of development, the Communicator was not satisfied and blamed President Akufo-Addo for abandoning his home region.
