The Benkum Hene of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Council and an Acting Begoro Hene, Osaberima Bosompem II has banned underage tricycle riders in the Fanteakwa North District of the Eastern Region.
Osabarima Bosompem II charged the security agencies to arrest underage tricycle riders in the Fanteakwa North District.
He said the ban on underage tricycle riders will not affect the youth in the District as they take their education seriously adding that law enforcement agencies will deal with underage tricycle riders.
Speaking in an interview with Bryt fm correspondent, Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon, Osabarima Bosompem II stated the police will arrest any underage from 9:00 pm in the borough.
‘‘They don’t sleep early and they will be marking all short of noise to disturb people, we are going to enforce the law to deal with them seriously,’’ Osabarima Bosompem II said.
Osabarima Bosompem II therefore appealed to the youth to take their education seriously to excel in life.
He said that the decision to arrest the young people will help the Fanteakwa District to discover its strength in terms of education.
But research has proven that Begoro is a farming community in the Eastern Region and the majority of the youth were engaged in farming.
