The Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Thomas Ampem Nyarko has disbursed Ghc500 each to the second batch of sixteen (16) needy students struggling to buy itemized lists in their prospectus handed to them by their Senior High and Technical schools.
The students were still home because of their inability to buy all items in the prospectus.
Thomas Ampem Nyarko said this latest gesture was sponsored by an anonymous philanthropist.
“Yesterday I had a wonderful call from a fellow chorister of the University Choir (KNUST). He told me he was touched by the gesture to support the fresh students at our SHS so he wanted to help a few. Minutes after our conversation, I received alerts on my phone. With his support, I have been able to assist an additional 16 of these young ones who are still at home because their parents haven’t been able to secure all the items required for them to report to school. Each child received an amount of 500 cedis. And all the parents have promised to send the children to their respective schools by Tuesday. God richly bless you my brother and many thanks to Hon Norgbe of Ashiaman for passing through”.
