PIWC-Koforidua has embarked on Evangelism and Medical Outreach program at Mangoase, a farming community in Akuapem North Municipality in the Eastern region.
The medical team was made up of volunteer clinicians from the Health Workers Guild at PIWC-KOFORIDUA led by Presiding Elder Frederick Darfuor a Pharmacist, and other medical specialists.
Hundreds of residents mostly smallholder farmers in the farming community were provided free consultation and dispensed various drugs for the treatment of their conditions.
Additionally, a hundred children were enrolled on the National Health Insurance Scheme to access free primary healthcare.
The Evangelism team led by Elder Edmund Hatsu also embarked on aggressive evangelism in which 250 people received the word of God and ministered to them.
Some of the beneficiaries of the medical outreach program were elated about the intervention.
Elder Frederick Darfuor told the media that malaria prevalence and High Blood pressure were high among the beneficiaries hence advised to keep their environment clean and practice good lifestyle habits.
The Mangoase District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost Pastor Seth Henneh said the medical outreach program was timely since many residents hardly go to the hospital for a checkup.

Also present were our Resident Minister Pastor Musa Yahaya and some members of the Mangoase District of the Church.
Meanwhile,fifty-three (53) women from 15 districts under the Koforidua Effiduase Area of The Church of Pentecost in the Eastern region have been trained in various vocational skills training.
The beneficiaries were trained in various crafts including fashion women’s ministry designing heart, yogurt, and ice cream production, liquid soaps, and cleaning detergents making.
The vocational training program was to economically empower the women through the alternate source of livelihood.
The three-day training program was held at Adonten Senior High School in New Tafo.
At the closing session of the program, the Effiduase Area Head, Apostle Daniel Yeboah Nsaful, and his wife, Mrs. Mary Nsaful, as well as all Pastorates in the Area together with their wives, including all Area Women Executives were present.
The Area Head urged the beneficiaries to ensure that they put what they have learned to use to better their economic situation in society and the church.
Some participants were allowed to share what they have learned and they also expressed their delight for the organizers of the program for their innovative leadership in bringing such a high income earning crafts.
