Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Odonkor Baah, stressed that community watchdog committee members were cautiously selected after background checks and hence qualify.
He said the biometric details of the members have been captured by the New Juaben South Municipal Police Command to ensure that they work by the police rules and regulations.
The assembly member for the Nyamekrom electoral area Hon. Enoch Boahene stated that the high crime rate in the electoral area forced him and the Chiefs to request the formation of a community watchdog committee to augment police efforts to deal with the menace.
