The All Nations University has built a Virtual Reality Industrial tour laboratory to enhance quality education delivery.
The cutting edge technology is the first of its kind in any university in Ghana and West Africa.
The virtual reality industrial laboratory simulation has been designed to enable students to visualize, validate and verify manufacturing processes by direct demonstration in a high fidelity virtual experience.
Virtual reality simulation described by experts as a new face of modern education enables users to simulate the manufacturing system and use it for different purposes including manufacturing planning, research and development and training.
President and founder of All Nation University in Koforidua, Ghana Dr Samuel Donkor, announced this during the 2nd Matriculation ceremony for a total of 535 fresh students made up of 273 and 262 males and females respectively.
“All Nations University has built a Virtual Reality Industrial Tour Laboratory, which is the first of its kind in Ghana and West Africa hence ANU will continue to push with innovative programmes with national development as its goal, therefore, entreats all 2022 matriculants to take advantage of these innovative programmes to help enhance the development of the country,” Dr Samuel Donkor said.
Dr Samuel Donkor said, the University was purposefully designed and established to create a platform for Africans in the diaspora and other technocrats in the academia to impart their creativity, knowledge and skillset to the youth of Ghana and Africa by extension.
He said ANU has benefitted tremendously from partnerships with world-class Universities giving it a competitive edge over many institutions locally. “Part of our development plan is to push collaborations with our
partner institutions and seek opportunities for our students and graduates to further their education and careers at our partner institutions”
Dr Donkor said, All Nations University (ANU) has reinvigorated the higher education sector in Ghana with innovative programmes of national importance such as Biomedical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering and Oil and Gas Engineering therefore through that ANU became the first university in Sub- Saharan Africa to design and build a CubeSat which was successfully deployed into orbit by National Aeronautics and Space Administration NASA.
In the quest to continue to push for innovative programmes in the university, Dr Samuel Donkor said ” accreditation is being sought for a BSc in Emergency Medicine Technology to train qualified paramedics to support the healthcare sector in Ghana, adding that accreditation is also being sought for MSc in Cyber Security to underpin Ghana’s quest for a digital economy with skilled cyber security experts “.
He admonished the matriculants to desist from learning at the last minute just to pass an examination as it will make the average students but rather inculcate the habit of studying daily in order to be fully prepared for the job market.
