Memphis Construction Limited is in hot waters following calls on President Nana Akufo-Addo, the Minister for Roads and the Wassa Amenfi Central DCE to force him back to the site to complete abandoned road projects in the Adjakaa-Manso community.
The Mmrantehene (Youth Leader) of Wassa Adjakaa-Manso in the Wassa Amenfi Central district of the Western Region, Nana Awuah, who is not happy about the abandoned road project expressed frustrations calling the contractor back to the site.
According to Nana Awuah, “the contractor, Memphis Construction Limited seems to have abandoned the site for some months because he has not been at work and there is no sign of him returning back.
The Chief told the media that, the contractor has constructed drainages without providing culverts or by-pass roads to link their various houses in the area.
Nana Awuah ll is arguing the situation could be dire to affect farmers, traders, students and the entire residents as heavy downpours can begin any time soon, and that, it had become a nightmare to apply the roads since they were riddled with mud.
The situation he indicated that patients are mostly carried on structures to cross drainage to the clinic in the community.
“some community leaders have called the DCE on phone on this problem so that the assembly could call the contractor abandoning the project back to the road but we have not received any possible results” he added.
