The maiden edition of NaSIA’s Regional Chief Inspectors’ Meeting took place at the Mensvic Grand Hotel in Accra.
As part of the debriefing session, the acting Regional Chief Inspectors (RCIs) updated the Inspector-General of Schools (IGS) on the successes and shortcomings of school inspections within their various regions.
The IGS, Dr Haggar Hilda Ampadu, commended all RCIs for the good work done and encouraged them to sustain the existing momentum in view of the interplay between quality school inspections and improved learning outcomes.
Dr Ampadu then briefed the RCIs on the going-live of the School Licensing and Inspections Management (SLIMS), the ongoing review of NaSIA’s Inspection Evaluation Framework (IEF), and Inspectors’ overall welfare and work within the regions, to name just a few.
The IGS expressed great satisfaction at the outcome of the meeting and indicated her receptivity to workable suggestions on making school inspections more effective and efficient.
