Head pastor and elders of Ossa Madih Church at Etsi Fawomanye in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District of the Central Region have taken to their heels after jumping walls to escape arrest during watch night service over an illegal electricity connection.
Reports gathered reveal that the Head pastor has been engaging in such illegal acts over the past five years.
Fault Manager at ECG, Francis Adetsi in an interview told Bryt Fm News that they were on the field checking faults on meters when they saw the illegal connection which according to reports, has been in existence for over five years now.
He explained that the pastor and church members are not paying electricity bills hence causing financial loss to the state.
Speaking to Bryt Fm News Correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah, Electricity Company of Ghana Manager for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam district, Maxwell Essel, said there is National Task Force going round and checking illegal connections in the evening nationwide and warned everyone to be careful.
He said those who will be caught engaging in illegality would be put before the law court.
