Pupils and teachers of Adweso SDA Presby school in the Akwapim North District have resorted to Church buildings as classroom blocks after the roofs of the school building were ripped off by rainstorms.
Bryt fm’s Nyarko Abronoma reported that the roofs were ripped off on February, 25th, 2022 and has since not seen any intervention from appropriate authorities.
According to a teacher of the school, several appeals to the Education Directorate and the District Assembly have yielded no result as teachers and pupils are left to their fates.
The situation is having a negative impact on teaching and learning as all the affected classes are compiled in one church.
Some aggrieved parents who spoke to the reporter expressed disappointment in the attitude of authorities in responding to the issue.
Some even vowed to withdraw their children from the school should authorities fail to respond to the matter as soon as possible.
