The Eastern Regional Organizer aspirant of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP, has revealed how a cabal was formed among the Regional Executives by some individuals creating disunity.
He said this cabal hijacked the party and took decisions including determination and distribution of campaign resources without the involvement of other regional executives.
Jerry Osei Opoku who is the incumbent Regional Youth organizer seeking to be elected as Regional Organizer, therefore, said, Saturday’s regional conference of the party must be an opportunity for delegates to collapse such cabal group and liberate the party for unity.
He said this when speaking on the “Ebesi Sen” program on Koforidua-based Bryt FM hosted by Otafregya Evans Thursday evenings.
“This election must be about individual competence and track record. How the candidate has served the people with respect, humility, and truth. So coming Saturday’s election must be one that will liberate the party from the shackles of leadership that segregate executives, leadership that doesn’t bring unity, and leadership that sideline some executives to form a cabal that determines what happens in the party. A cabal that believes they are the only wise people”. Jerry Osei -Opoku said.
He added “Even though the people voted for these executives, when Chairman and his cabal meet, youth organizer, organizer, secretary are sidelined .people must be responsible. we must judge people by their strength and what they have done and not lump people together and judge them”
Jerry Osei Opoku who is the incumbent Regional Youth Organizer is contesting the Regional Organizer position with two others -Opoku Acheampong George, and Ahmed Yusif Yonah.
