The Police Service is appealing to hospitals, herbalists, health centers as well as the general public to help arrest suspected armed robbers, some of whom have been wounded.
According to the statement issued by the police, the suspected armed robbers numbering eight went on a robbery attack at Ntuaso early Friday morning around 2:30am in the Nsawam Adoagyiri municipality.
Upon a distress call to the police, the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the force was deployed to the scene leading to the exchange of gunfire after the robber’s first fired a gunshot.
However, one of the suspects was shot and killed with the rest managing to escape.
The Police are therefore calling on residents of Nsawam and Ntuaso in the Eastern Region to look out for these wounded suspects who may be hiding in and around the environs if the incident.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Police Hospital morgue while efforts are underway to arrest the rest.
