Dr John Ampontuah Kumah, a Deputy Minister of Finance, has tasked regional ministers, metropolitan, municipal, and district chief executives (MMDCEs) with rallying the youth to join the YouStart program.
The Deputy Minister encouraged young people to use the YouStart program to get money and funding for their innovative and entrepreneurial business ideas.
“Young people between the ages of 15 and 35 make up 11 million of the population, emphasizing the need of investing in them to accelerate the country’s future development,” he added.
Mr Kumah encouraged the youth to value the initiative since it was a direct investment in the country’s future.
Every government entity, he continued, has a responsibility to mobilize the youth behind the YouStart program.
According to Mr Kumah, the YouStart program is designed for Ghanaian youth who have a business concept but require training and funds to put it into action.
