Former Chaplain for USA military Hospital and former General Secretary of the Asanteman Association Georgia-Atlanta, Very Rev. Jubilant Boakye Danquah has appealed to the government of Ghana to as a matter of urgency give a mandate to the statistical service department to adopt a price control system in the market to help reduce inflation and stabilize the price of goods and products in the market.
According to him, the absence of such measures has made some traders always increase the prices of goods in the market, a situation he described as very unfortunate.
The Senior Citizen stated that it is very worrying that the stakeholders such as the Ministry of Finance and others have intentionally pretended as if there’s nothing wrong in the country.
He said it was time they showed competence by taking steps to curb the current crisis Ghana is going through.
Talking about Sir John’s Achimota forest land brouhaha, Very Rev. Jubilant Boakye Danquah suggested that there was the need to apply red law enforcement to reclaim all government properties taken by politicians.
He has charged the office of the Attorney General to use a conventional law known as redlaw to reclaim all state properties which some political leaders have acquired through political influence, back to the state.
He expressed worry about the way some political leaders in the country from the era of the former late president J.J Rawlings to the current Leadership of President Akufo-Addo have used their political influence to acquire some part of government reserved lands as their properties.
