A cross section of communicators and grassroot supporters of the New Patriotic Party, NPP have called on delegates to vote for the current General Secretary, John Boadu to be retained as the Chief Administrator of the ruling party.
In a statement issued by leadership of the group in the three Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions, they indicated that after the visitation of Mr. John Boadu to officially declare his intention to delegates to contest again as General Secretary, they were touched with his rich experience and expertise and believes he is the one who can help NPP break the ‘8’ come 2024.
“Mr. John Boadu doesn’t wait for elections before supporting NPP either financially or logistically which Bono, Bono East and Ahafo Regions have had their fair share in previous years and still contributing his quota to every constituencies throughout the country” they said.
The scribe of the ruling Government known to be the indefatigable Mr John Boadu serves on so many Councils and Committees of the party and his rich acquired experiences over the years put him far ahead of his other competitors.
“When he even became an acting General Secretary after the substantive Secretary (Kwabena Agyapong) was suspended in 2015 and by then doubled as the National Organizer he worked tirelessly to make sure the party led by Akufo-Addo won with over 1 million votes which is unprecedented in the history of Ghana.
Some members of the group insisted “John Boadu has been assisting Constituency and Regional Officers every four years with resources and has been supporting needy Parliamentary Candidates with campaign materials as well”.
“Indeed, if NPP wants to break the ‘8’ then we must overwhelmingly endorse Mr.John Boadu as the General Secretary once again next month in the upcoming NPP National Elections” the group pleaded to delegates.
