The Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has said the Techiman Water Supply Rehabilitation and Expansion project will commence after feasibility study and project site design have been completed .
Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah stated this in Parliament when answering a question asked by Hon Martin Adjei- Mensah Korsah MP for Techiman South in the Bono East Region.
Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah who is also a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development wanted to know the current state and scope of the Techiman Water Supply Rehabilitation and Expansion Project under the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund Loan.
In her response, the minister revealed that evaluation of technical proposals for the shortlisted firms have completed and no objection has been raised by Korean Exim Bank which granted the loan of US$ 100 million for the project.
She added that opening of the financial proposal of the firm which won the technical proposal has been completed and contract award is being processed for the consultant to move to site to undertake detailed feasibility study and design work for the project.
