The Sefwi Bekwai Traditional Council has with the immediate effect, suspended weddings, funerals and other activities until they meet stakeholders, opinion leaders, christians, muslim community and security agencies to dialogue on security issues of the area.
The traditional leadership on Thursday morning visited river Anorku to pour libation to summon perpetrators who beheaded an unidentified 30-year old lady at Sefwi Atwima-Sonkori.
The ugly incident sends bad image to the traditional authority and residents of Sefwi Bekwai, hence the customary rite is expected to unearth perpetrators for the laws of the country to deal with them accordingly.
The Traditional Council led by Akyeamehene, Nana Kwabena Ennin II, again visited the scene where the unfortunate incident happened and performed the necessary rituals to appease the gods to avert any calamity that may befall them.
The death of the unidentified deceased has brought fear and panic into the people in the area as the police is yet to identify perpetrators of the heinous crime.
