The Ghana police service in the Asutifi district has advised the general public to be cautious as robbery cases are on the rise on the Asutifi North and south districts.
About a month ago, armed robbers attacked passengers at Hwidiem-Tepa road and Acherensua community which they were arrested and arraigned before court .
These incidents among several others has heightened fears among the public who feel their lives are in danger as they go about their daily activities in the Asutifi North and south districts.
In an interview with the media , the Asutifi district police commander DSP Paul A.Ankam said his outfit is making good use of it’s patrol team to curb this crime .
“We are also going to ensure that in the coming days, there is going to be a high police visibility in the district.one important thing I would like to appeal to the public is for them to give us information that might help us in tracking some of these criminals.we assure the general public that we are closing in in intelligence wise and we will do everything possible to get closure on such cases” he stated.
He also urged the public to cooperate with the security agencies in protection against terrorist attacks in the country.
