A 37 year old woman,Hellen Tetteh has delivered set of five (5) babies (quintuplets) at the St Martin’s de Porres hospital at Agormanya in the Eastern region.
She delivered through Ceasaran section Wednesday July 13,2022.
The babies were delivered during 28 weeks of pregnancy.According to medical doctors ,the babies are however doing well although in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU) .
Medical Doctors are caring for the babies whose weights are less than 1Kg to gain additional weight to at least 1.8K before they are discharged.
Hellen Tettey ,the nursing mother who already has female twins but lost her husband and got married to her current husband whom she has delivered the quintuplets with, received the news of the quintuplets with mixed feelings.

Hellen who came to Agormanya to stay with her parents to deliver said she was told she will deliver triplets after scan was performed during her pregnancy.
She is however excited for the gift of the womb but appealing for public support to help take care of the babies.
Dr .Bansah Miriam Theodora,Health officer also Clinical Coordinator at St.Martins de Pores Hospital told the media that “The midwives called me on phone this evening that a pregnant woman has been brought in but her SFH was more than 35 which was 50cm . so we went to do emergency CS which we delivered 5 female babies that is quintuplets. The babies are doing well in incubators the mother too is doing well.
