Deputy Trade and Industry minister, Michael Okyere Baafi is currently in Delhi, India for the 17th CII Exim Bank Conclave on India-African growth partnership.
The 2-day event focuses on the India-Africa partnership’s strategic role in a changing geo-political scenario, strengthening bilateral engagements and discussing emerging economic opportunities as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) gains ground.
The Deputy minister participated in a panel discussion on “Creating New Frontiers for Indian Consultancy” and offered Indian consultants various opportunities for collaboration under the Ministry’s 10-point industrialization agenda.
He focused on One District, One Factory, Industrial Park and Special Economic Zone Development, and component manufacturing under the Automotive Sector and also encouraged them to take into cognisance the opportunities AFCFTA presents.
Mr Okyere Baafi also used the occasion to woo Indian businesses to invest in Ghana, highlighting the opportunities and incentives available through the Ministry.
