The Governing Council of Cape Coast Technical University, led by the Chairman of Council, Prof. Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi has paid a courtesy call on the Regional minister, Justina Marigold Assan at her office.
The purpose of the visit was to build a cordial relation between the university and the RCC and how the region can leverage on innovative technology adopted by the university to industrialise the region.
Additionally, as part of building a comprehensive development strategy for the region, day four of the just ended Central Expo ‘22 was designated as strategic business forum.
There were presentations from various industry players and technocrats who served as resource persons for the session.
The presentations were led by Dr. Kodjo Esseim Mensah-Abrampa-Director-General, NDPC, Prof. Kwaku A.A. Boakye, Dean, Office of International Relation-UCC, Prof. Ernest E. Abano, Dept. of Agric. Engineering-UCC, Stephen Osei Yeboah, Snr. Lecturer, Institute of Local Government Studies (ILGS) and Former Head of Department, Local Economic Development.
As part of the presentation, stakeholders found the need to come up with district resource and economic potential map, which will tie into regional economic potential and resource map to enable investors to know the venture readily available for exploration.
Also, the need to build proper linkage between Central Region Development Commission (CEDECOM)and the various assemblies featured prominently was also discussed.
