The Chief Executive (CE) of the Volta River Authority (VRA), Male Energy Personality of the Year (2021 Ghana Energy Awards), Mr. Emmanuel Antwi-Darkwa on Tuesday, August 3, 2022, interacted with students of St. Mary’s Senior High School at the 4th Energy Personalities Outreach Programme (EPOP) held in the School and organized by the Energy Media Group.
The function, which was under the theme: “Impacting the Next Generation of Leaders today” sought to provide an avenue for captains of industry in the energy sector to share their leadership experience with students.
Mr. Antwi-Darkwa, in his interaction, shared his leadership experience in five areas, namely: emotional intelligence, goal setting, diligence, working smart, and risk taking.
He advised students to study assiduously and strive to make a positive impact in society.
Other key speakers at the event were the Deputy Managing Director, Tullow Ghana, Madam Cynthia Lumor (Female Energy Personality of the Year 2021), Chairman of the Awarding Panel of the Ghana Energy Awards, Lawyer Kwame Jantuah and the Chief Executive Officer of Energy Media Group, Ing. Henry Teinor.
Accompanying the Chief Executive to the programme were the Advisor, Office of the Chief Executive, Dr. (Mrs.) I. Stella Agyenim-Boateng; Director, Corporate Strategy, Mr. Clement Boakye; Manager, Corporate Communications & Branding, Mrs. Tandy Chothia, and other officers of the Corporate Affairs and External Relations Unit.
The EPOP is a special feature of the Energy Awards scheme, organised for the winners of the coveted Energy Personality of the Year awards. The objective of the programme is to provide a platform for energy personalities to share their experiences with the youth, especially at the second cycle level, to encourage them to reach their life goals and ambitions.
