The Chief of Akuapem -Mamfe in the Eastern region Osabarima Ansah Sasraku has celebrated his 25th anniversary on the stool with a thanksgiving service at a Presbyterian church in the town.
The thanksgiving service to climax the 25th-anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Akuapem Mamfehene brought together Ex-President John Mahama, John Agyekum Kuffour, both present, and past Ministers, board members, and hosts of political figures and dignitaries.
Former President John Mahama in a brief speech eulogizes Mamfehene for his high principles and integrity which manifested when he became Board Chairman of Metro Mass Transit.
Ministering at the thanksgiving service, the Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh said truthfulness, God-fearing, humbleness, and prayer make a great leader. According to him, a prayerful leader is a strong leader and a leader who doesn’t pray is weak.
He commended Mamfehene for his humility and service to humanity.
Osabarima Ansah Sasraku, known in private life as Theophilus Nyanteh Akufo-Parry, succeeded his late uncle, late Nana Ababio Manteaw in 1997 at the age of 32 after completing KNUST, to become Mamfehene and Akuapem Kyidomehene on August 18.
Osabarima has been very instrumental in the promotion of education in Akuapem, peace, and Unity in Okuapeman, and continues to serve Ghana in various capacities.
The Mamfehene said, he is happy that, through Christ who strengthens him, he has been able to remove the decade-old tradition which banned eating any food made with corn on Sundays and Mondays. Also converted schnapps that families brought to the palace for funeral rites activities, to cement to help embark on developmental projects
Osabarima Ansah Sasraku appealed for support to build a youth training community center and establish a commercial vegetable farm to create jobs for the youth.
