The Chief executive officer of betpawa premier league side, Real Tamale United (RTU) is set to resign from his post effective September 5 2022.
Kasim Perez was CEO for the side all through last season in the top tier after making a return to the top division after nearly a decade of playing in division one.
Amongst other things, Kasim Perez cites a lack of cooperation from the board of directors of the club and a lack of willingness to adopt best practices in football administration as a reason for the decision to vacate his post at the club.
Since escaping relegation on the final day of last season, the club has had to deal with several internal issues including, the refusal of head coach shaibu Ibrahim Tanko to continue in his role for the upcoming season, the player’s refusing to show up for training over unpaid salaries from the 2021/22 season and agitation from a section of supporters to dissolve the current management team of the club citing a lack of transparency as reason for their call.
