The aim of their visit was to monitor and assess the performance of GF projects to ensure all GF-funded activities within the hospital achieved their intended purpose and report back to donors.
Some of the selected service points they visited include OPD, ANC, Pharmacy, ART, DOTS Centre and Laboratory (the first ISO 25289:2012 accredited Government Hospital Lab in Ghana).
The team witnessed firsthand how GF-funded programs and support were impacting positively in the areas of tuberculosis; HIV/AIDS and STIs; malaria; and Covid-19 control and management; and strengthening the health system in general.
After the tour, the team was incredibly delighted about the quality of information that they gathered from all the service points they visited and expressed their appreciation to the Management of the facility for transparency.
The Medical Director, Dr Arko Akoto-Ampaw, on behalf of the Regional Director of Health Services, thanked the Global Fund and partners for their continued support in the provision of quality healthcare for the region and country.
He encouraged them to use the Hospital’s QR code to register their experience at the facility.
