Ghanaian forward Maxwell Boakye has confirmed an approach from the Mozambique Football Federation over a nationality switch.
The 28-year-old who currently plies his trade for Mozambique top-flight side Club Ferroviario Maputo has been outstanding since joining the club.
He has scored four goals and provided two assists in seven games, winning two men of the match awards in the league.
The former Hearts of Oak forward was on target on Saturday in the Maputo derby as his side CF Maputo inflicted a 2-0 win over Coastal Do Sol.
“The leadership of my team are in talks with me to switch nationality and play for Mozambique. God uses different avenues to bless people. Truth be told, personally, I would love to switch nationality” he told Koforidua-based Bryt FM.
The former Karela United forward signed a one-year deal with the Mozambique outfit.
