Housing minister, Francis Asenso-Boakye joined Rotarians of District 9102, made up of Ghana, Niger, Benin and Togo to receive Jennifer E. Jones, the President of Rotary International, who is visiting Ghana.
It is exciting to note that Jennifer is the first woman President of the organization in its 117-year history.
She was the Rotary Club President of Windsor Roseland, Canada, my host Club, when he served as a Rotary scholar some two decades ago.
Hon. Asenso-Boakye in his brief remarks lauded Rotary International for bringing together business and professional leaders from diverse backgrounds in providing community service, promoting integrity, and advancing goodwill, peace, and understanding in the world, over the years.
