The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) pledged to end the duopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Party last Saturday as it celebrated its tenth anniversary in Elmina, in the Central Region (NDC).
Therefore, the party urged voters to support it in the upcoming general election in order to secure victory and better its situation.
Brigitte Dzogbenuku, the PPP’s presidential candidate for 2020, made the promise to party members gathered in Kobina Gyan Square in Elmina to commemorate the anniversary.
She said that “if you are one of those who realize that we need a third force, let me tell you, we are the third force we need. We have tried the other two – we don’t like the turn of events. Now the PPP has come of age”.
Ms Dzogbenuku urged the party’s grassroots members to work hard and turn the PPP into the third force the nation desperately needed.
