Madina lawmaker, Lawyer Francis-Xavier Sosu has started a Self Help Project to mobilize support to grade the Danfa-Kweiman and Ayi Mensah roads to provide some temporary relief to commuters since the government seem unconcerned.
Despite being awarded on contract for the sum of GHS11.25million, the 10.5km stretch of road which was supposed to begin in July 2020 and end in June 2021 has been abandoned by the Contractor and left in a deplorable state due to the lack of construction and maintenance, causing severe inconvenience for Road Users.
The Community Self-Help Project galvanized support to improve the state of the road in order to make it motorable for use by drivers as a short-term measure, whilst we continue to wait for the Contractor.
The MP has expressed gratitude to the Chiefs and people of AyiMensah, DANFA, Otinibi, and Kweiman, the DANFA Youth Chief, Assemblymen, Resident Associations, Drivers’ Unions, Opinion Leaders and Benefactors who supported the Project in various ways. Together, we can build a new MADINA that works, and develop our community through selfless service.
