The acting Colombian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Claudia Milena Vaca paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources on Monday, 17th October 2022.
The meeting was to discuss matters of mutual concern, particularly in relation to building a viable and environmentally-sound mining industry to drive economic development.
On behalf of the President of the Republic, Hon. Samuel Abu Jinapor expressed the country’s gratitude to the Government and people of Colombia for their interest in working with us to promote sustainable mining.
He stated, “As a respected member of the international community, Ghana is ready to work with the rest of the world to protect the natural environment, and the Government of President Akufo-Addo will continue to leverage new and existing partnerships to bring the much-needed development to our country”.
