A two (2) day Fire Safety Training program for the staff of Total Petroleum Limited was held in the Central Region.
The program which aimed at building the capacity of fuel pump attendants of the company in basic fire safety practices and how to effectively operate the fire extinguisher brought together all staff of the various filling stations in the Central Region.
The Regional Commander, ACFOI John Amarlai Amartey, addressing the participants, encouraged them to see fire safety in the environment they work in as their utmost priority.
He cautioned that they would be the first victim in case of a fire outbreak and their lives might be threatened. Thus, the needed precautions.
DOIII Mustapha Nyarko Hammah, the Regional Safety Officer was the resource person who took the fuel pump attendants through types of fires, causes and extinguishing media and methods.
They were also taken through the practical use of the portable fire extinguisher.
