One Thousand Two Hundred and Eighty- Eight (1288) students from Thirty-Nine (39) basic schools in the New Juaben North Municipality on Monday 17th October 2022, sat for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination.
The candidates were from ( 24 ) public basic schools and 15 private basic schools made up of 633 males and 655 females for the Examination, out of this number, 2 were absent, whiles 2 others were pregnant.
Some of the participating schools were Effiduase Methodist JHS A&B, Effiduase Presby JHS A, Solomon JHS, Asokore Salvation Army JHS, Frihands School, God is Great International, Asokore SDA DEMO JHS, Akwadum M/A JHS A&B, Oyoko Methodist JHS, Suhyen M/A JHS among others.
According to the Municipal Information Officer, Madam Afia Ansaa, an entourage led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Comfort Asante, the Municipal Education Director, the Municipal Information Officer and some Education Officials toured all four exam centre’s within the Municipality.
She also advised the candidates to read through the questions thoroughly before answering.
She encouraged them to eschew any fear and face the exams with dedication and commitment, to enable them both parents and the government proud.
The New Juaben North member of the education directorate, Mr Samuel Dickson encouraged the students to be confident and not entertain fear, since they are the future leaders of this country and their journey to greatness and successful life begins now, he stressed.
