Ghanaian economists, business gurus and the general public are asking for the whereabouts of Ghana’s Vice President, Dr Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia as the country battle for sustaining the economy.
The calls comes at a time the country is faced with economic challenges, with many Ghanaians and some majority MPs calling for the head of the Finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
Some are also calling for the dissolution of the Economic Management Team headed by the Vice President for its failure to hold up the economic stature of the country.
The Vice President has been silent on many calls for his address on some major economic and financial issues that have cropped up in the country, even though he has been touted as the ‘Economic Messiah’ by the President and the NPP as a party.
Sections of the public are calling on President Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his appointees upon several requests made by academics, economists and even some political leaders.
Meanwhile, a tweet intercepted by mybrytnewsroom.com revealed an alleged post by the Vice President reading “We also have to look very clearly at our foreign exchange regime. It’s very clear that it’s quite loose and this is why we’re going to be working to see how we can tighten it”.
