Paramount Chief of Akwamu Traditional Area, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III participated at the 60th annivaersary of the Akosombo International School over the weekend in the Asuogyaman district.
The celebration was under the theme “Educating Tomorrow’s Leaders Today”.
In his remarks, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III encouraged educators to lay the foundation of future leadership with respect for traditions and culture.
He emphasised that the successful leader of the future is a wholistic one with advanced soft and hard skills, and who can respond to the demand for global collaboration, adapting quickly to a continuously evolving world.
“It is important therefore that you as educators, will continue to focus on developing their intellectual achievement, as well as help them develop their social, emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual development” the traditional leader stated.
AIS was established in 1962 by the Volta River Authority and has since produced many intellectuals who occupy high places in Ghana and even abroad.
