The NCCE/Big M Consult Brain Challenge Zonal is a program that BIG M Consult, and National Commission for Civil Education (NCCE) have established. Only a few private schools participated in the event, which was split into four zones and held in various locations.
The competition saw 14 schools from different zones in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua.
Speaking in an interview with Brytfm, Mrs. Gladys Adu, Assistant Director for NCCE Eastern Region, stated that the main goal of conducting such a tournament was to educate students and pique their curiosity about things other than what they were taught in school.
She went on to thank all the participating schools and expressed her expectation that the semi-final winners will have high moral character. She also appreciated BIG M Consult’s efforts in working with them to organize such a considerate event.
Brytfm spoke with several of the instructors whose schools won after the activities came to an end. They expressed their gratitude to the organizers for putting on a beautiful event for the local youth, while also being overcome with emotion. The kids who helped their schools win were ecstatic, and they are eager to perform well in the semifinals, so they may go to the final.
