Two Kenyan airport employees and a police officer have been praised for returning a bag that contained $19,000 as well as other valuables to a British tourist.
According to local media reports, Benson Nickolson had lost his bag at Wilson airport in Kenya’s capital Nairobi after returning from a trip to the Maasai Mara game reserve with his family.
The airport workers and policewoman found the bag and screened it for explosives before the owner was contacted.
The airport’s security supervisor, Joseph Kabangi, told local media that “integrity is a core value” among staff at the airport.
