Deputy Information minister, Fatima Abubakar was at a GETFund stakeholder forum to discuss the progress made in the provision of infrastructure for basic, secondary and tertiary educational institutions.
GETFund remains reliable for undertaking key interventions in the educational sector.
Out of about 9,446 projects undertaken by GETFund since its inception, 2,251 were initiated by the Akufo-Addo government.
The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is a public trust set up by an Act of Parliament in the year 2000.
Its core mandate is to provide funding to supplement the government efforts for the provision of educational infrastructure and facilities within the public sector from the pre-tertiary to the tertiary level.
