Ahead of the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Ghana, the District Chief Executive for Upper West Akyem in the Eastern Region, Mr. Eugene Sackey has urged Political parties in his area not to use their Disagreement among themselves to disturb Peace and Stability in the Area.
He called on them to seek court action and eschew violence before, during and after Election.
Speaking at the 63rd Independence Day Celebration in Adeiso, Mr. Eugene Sackey, who is also head of the District Security Council assured his people that there will be unity and peace among all political parties and their supporters and urged Party leaders and Parliamentary candidates in the Constituency to be peace Ambassadors.
The DCE called on Ghanaians to use the 63rd Independence Day Celebration to reflect on gains in the Country since Independence and unite for more gains.
The DCE commended the government for spreading National cake to his District and Congratulated people contributing to the development of the Area.
The District Assembly and the District Education Directorate used the celebration to award students who excelled in the 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination and the West African Secondary school Certificate Examination as well as Schools that performed well in the ceremony.
