The Centre’s CEO, Yofi Grant, was sworn in as a member of The Steering Committee for the National Export Development Strategy (NEDS) on Tuesday.
The NEDS, which was launched in 2020, sets out a new national ambition of transforming our export performance in 10 years.
As such, the Steering committee, which is chaired by the Chief Director of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Patrick Yaw Nimoh, have the task to provide oversight and direction for implementing government’s strategy for boosting exports.
In his brief remarks at the swearing in ceremony, the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon. Herbert Krapa, encouraged the members of the committee to work together to help achieve the goal of the export development strategy.
This was followed with a tour of the “Made in Ghana Town”, spearheaded by Export-Import Bank Ghana – EXIMBank Ghana, to showcase made in ghana goods ready for export.
