Staff from Aarhus Vand – Denmark and Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) leakage detection and burst repair gurus identified the cause of the unexplained huge water tariffs of the Tema Fishing Harbour.
The team exposed a factory that had illegally connected water from the pipeline of the Tema Fishing Harbour.
Furthermore, the team again discovered a leaking valve that was contributing to the water loss.
Again, a group of companies on the Spintex road who also faced unusual high water tariffs was supported, as the team identified the exact location where a leakage was taking place.
It is very heart-warming to see how the Danish – Ghanaian partnership under the Strategic Sector Cooperation on water is directly benefitting Ghanaian companies and households. Most importantly, GWCL staff are very equipped to continue this exercise, to save their Company and its customers money from leakages, bursts and thefts.
