The media launch of the Northern Trades Industrial and Investment Summit with the theme “Improving Trade and Industries in Northern Ghana Through Capacity Building and Investment”.
The event was graced by Dr Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA).
She said in her opening remarks that the major event, scheduled for March 2023, will centre on the potential for export and investment in the country’s northern regions.
She also noted that SMEs’ goods and services will be included in exhibitions, and the main event would be capped off by business awards.
Building and expanding the necessary human capital for industrial export development and marketing is one of the National Export Development Strategy’s main tenets.
To this end, GEPA is assisting exporters through a number of initiatives and programs such as this.
She recommended working with other government-mandated organizations for the necessary direction and help for all SMEs operating in the northern regions.
