“I will become the transformational leader of our time who will build on the foundations laid by successive leaders of our Nation over the last sixty five years”, according to former Trade and Industry minister Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremanten.
Announcing his intention to contest the Presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a Flagbearer, Mr. Alan Kyeremanten indicated that as a President, he will launch and lead the execution of the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) which will span from 2025 to 2030.
He emphasised the GTP will have seven considerations that would be taken into account to guarantee the success of the plan.
It includes; the primacy of the private sector in national development plan, attitude to work and enforcement of discipline, corruption and petty theft from the public purse that deny the country of utilising its tax revenue and arrogance of power which has been a major obstruction to the progress of the country.
The rest are; passion for excellence as Ghana needs to celebrate competence and excellence and not mediocrity, focusing on getting things done than talking as the country is becoming a NATO country-‘No Action Talk Only’ as well as the divisive nature of our politics.
According to Mr. Kyeremanten, the above-listed will provide ‘soft power’ for the effective implementation of the GTP.
