The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Hajia Lariba Abudu on Wednesday, 11th January 2023 met with the Directors, Heads of Departments and Units of the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP).
The meeting was to fraternize with the Management of the Ministry and share her priority targets, focus areas and expectations with them.
It was also to get first-hand information on the current state of the Ministry as well as get updates about their roles and responsibilities in line with the Ministry’s mandate.
Hon. Hajia Lariba Zuweira Abudu thanked all Directors for their support and advice over the years urging them to bring all hands on deck to ensure the Ministry’s slogan of “leaving no one behind” is achieved.
“I want to urge all of you to think outside the box and bring innovative ways to the fore of the table,” She said.
The Sector Minister announced that there would be a series of engagements with key and relevant stakeholders to ensure that the MoGCSP gets the needed support and buy-in of its partners and stakeholders.
The Chief Director for the Ministry, Dr Afisah Zakariah on behalf of Management pledged their willingness and readiness to support the Minister to achieve her aim.
The meeting is the first since Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu (MP) was sworn in as the substantive Minister on 28th December 2022.
