National Chairman for Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), Mr Kwame Kumah has said the ban on night travelling will not reduce car crashes in the country.
According to him, most of the road accidents in Ghana are due to the deplorable state of roads.
Speaking to Abena Pokua Awhenee on Dadi FM, he indicates that not all night road accident is as of a result of taking alcohol but over speeding, poor driving skills and overtaking can be factors.
The National Chairman for GPRTU also hinted that Ghana always record high fatalities in our roads due to carelessness of some drivers.
Mr Kumah educates the drivers on some roads do’s and dont’s by urging them to avoid chatting, over speeding among many others while driving in order to reduce road accident in the country.
He, therefore, urges Ghanaians to remember drivers in their prayers because the majority of the road accident occurs as a result of spiritual invocations.
