Businessman and a philanthropist, Owen Kwame Frimpong has pledged his commitment to the delivery of quality education in Lower West Akim of the Eastern region.
In his opinion, education remains the best tool to the development of every nation, hence the need to invest massively in the sector to properly train and prepare children into the future.
In an interaction with some constituents at Asamankese, Mr. Frimpong however, revealed his intention to accept many calls to represent the constituency in the 2024 general elections on the ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The CEO of Bridavis Shipping Company emphasised that his readiness to serve the people comes at the back of many challenges that needs to be addressed by those in authority.
Mr. Owen Kwame Frimpong said he will ensure schools in the area are upgraded and ensure the necessary infrastructure and other basic needs of students and teachers are provided for to enhance effective teaching and learning.
“Education remain my priority and I will ensure schools within the area are well taken care of in terms of providing the necessary infrastructure and educational materials needed by the various schools. We must take up the education our our children seriously and that’s what I stand to do if given the mandate” the businessman indicated.
Background
Intense pressure has been mounting on the head of a philanthropist and businessman who doubles as the CEO of Bridavis Shipping Company, Owen Kwame Frimpong to represent the masses in the 2024 general elections .
Some electorates in the Lower West Akim constituency are relentlessly knocking on the doors of a philanthropist who is a native of Asamankese (Oboadwan) to join the political race in the Ghana’s House of Legislature following his proven qualities over the years.
The electorates are of the view that Mr Owen Frimpong posses what it takes to whip the best for the constituency , and would therefore be unpardonably suicidal to sit on the fence as a passive observant in his own home of birth .
Some maintain that his credentials would suit any political party as the parliamentary candidate whiles others strongly remain optimistic the National Democratic Congress would be more befitting and appropriately reasonable following his long standing membership and contributions within and without the NDC in the Eastern Region.
