Kingsley Amaliba, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team, has urged detractors to quit “fighting” Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, the member of parliament representing the North Tongu constituency of the Volta region.
The only person attempting to investigate the alleged corruption surrounding the building of the national cathedral appears to be Mr. Ablakwa.
Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, the Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees, was the subject of his most recent “findings.”
Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng was accused by the MP of acting in a conflict of interest, having many identities, and other alleged criminal activities.
He alleged that Rev. Kusi-Boateng moved GH2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a business he owns under the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
This led to criticism of the MP, with Sylvester Tetteh of the NPP, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro, urging him to avoid trying to become a “hero overnight.”
Amaliba, however, asserts that Mr. Ablakwa is on the correct track and deserves appreciation.
He disclosed this in an interview on Accra based Neat fm.
